The National AfC Pay Modernisation Team
The main remit of the National Pay ModernisationTeam is to support the NHS Boards in the successful implementation of the Agenda for Change pay system through:
- Project start up communications and resourcing support ( awareness raising; project planning support; Train the Trainers on Job Matching; Job Evaluation and KSF Training)
- Networking/support for all Pay Modernisation Leads
- SPRIG, HRF and Partnership working support
- National networking facilitation support & AfC Web page support
- Supporting benefits realisation for AfC.
Each Area/Board Pay Modernisation Lead will be supported through a national network which will meet throughout the implementation period. There will be a national network for Leads of the key strands of the project, ie, sub groups - Job Evaluation, KSF, and Terms and Conditions. Learning from these national network events will be cascaded through local networks via local Project Leads.
The National Pay Modernisation Team supporting Agenda for Change currently consists of the following NHS secondees:

Sonia Pollock, Project Officer (AfC)
Anne-Marie Greene, Project Officer (KSF and e-KSF)
The team are now located in Europa Building, 450 Argyll Street, Glasgow, G2 8LG with the main office number being 0141 242 0126.
Pay Modernisation Team role and priorities
- Supporting each Board in developing their own structures and support for their local Project Planning
- Delivery of core skills training for roll-out (ie Training the Trainers for JE and the KSF)
- Communicate progress on all aspects of Agenda for Change
- Ensure NHSS is kept up to date of all developments arising from the Review Process and any future development that may arise during the implementation period
- Monitoring JE outcomes across NHSS to ensure consistency in job matching and job evaluation, addressing any issues that may arise,
- Monitoring and evaluating implementation progress across all strands of Agenda for Change
- Develop website to ensure that all information is available to assist with accurate project planning
- Capturing and disseminating learning & supporting learning networks
