Core NHS Job Description Templates

The following Job Description Templates for Core NHS jobs have been developed by the Scottish Pilot sites as a guide for creating and updating Job Descriptions that are inline with the requirements of the Job Evaluation process.

It should be recognised that these are for guidance only and do not constitute standard Job Descriptions. It should be carefully noted that the job titles on these Job Descriptions may not necessarily reflect the job content of such a post in all the systems within Scotland.

The process of providing the templates is ongoing and new templates will be added as they are agreed.

The templates should be used in conjunction with the Blank Job Description template and associated guidance notes.

*Templates are slightly inconsistent with the standard template format but are still suitable for purpose.
